Effective July 2, 2012, all the functions of the Maritime Training Council (MTC) has been transferred to the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) through the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA).

Relative thereto, all communications/correspondences, payments and other STCW-related matters shall now be addressed to MARINA.

In the meantime that MARINA is still in the process of reviewing, amending MTC resolutions, policies, rules and regulations through public consultation process, the MARINA shall continue to adopt existing rules and regulations of MTC.
